We sell light, not mirrors.

Anyone can put an LED strip around a piece of glass. What matters is what that light does to your face, and most of this industry has never really thought about it.

The light in your bathroom is lying to you.

Almost every UK bathroom has one light, in the ceiling, behind your head. It throws every shadow straight down. Under your brows, under your nose, along your jaw. So you fill in what you cannot see, step outside into daylight, catch yourself in a shop window and find a different face looking back.

Ceiling light, behind you

Hard shadows under the brows and jaw. You are guessing.

Mirror light, in front of you

Shadows filled, colour true. You can see what you are doing.

Three things have to be true.

The light has to come from in front of you, not above. It has to sit at eye level, so it fills shadows instead of casting them. And it has to match the room you are going into, because makeup that reads well under warm light looks grey under daylight.

That is why every mirror we sell runs three colour temperatures on a touch dimmer, 2700K to 6500K. Not as a bullet on a spec list. It is the entire reason the product exists.

Every mirror is switched on before it is boxed.

Someone takes it out, plugs it in, cycles all three light settings and checks the touch sensor responds. If it does not, it does not ship.

It sounds like a small thing. It is the difference between a 4.77 average and the marketplace listings where nobody opens anything and you find out yourself.

9 President Way, Sheffield S4 7UR

One unit, one team, one postcode.

Stock sits on our own shelves in S4. The same small team picks it, checks it, boxes it and posts it. Returns come back through the same door, which is why refunds are quick rather than a six-week argument with a warehouse in another country.

Three things we are not going to do.

You have read enough homeware sites to know the tricks. Here is what you will not find on ours.

Invent a customer number

You will not see “50,000 happy customers” anywhere here. We are not that big yet, and a number nobody can check is worth nothing.

Run a countdown that resets

No timer telling you the basket expires in ten minutes and then quietly giving you ten more. If we say a cut-off, it is the courier collection time.

Round the reviews up

The average across 57 products is 4.77, not five. Some of our products have no reviews at all, and we leave those showing zero.
